Frequently Asked Questions

Why are beef flatties good for dental health?
The unique flat, wide shape provides maximum surface contact with teeth and gums, making them exceptionally effective at removing plaque and tartar. The natural texture acts like a toothbrush, scraping away buildup while the chewing action massages gums and promotes healthy teeth. The flat design ensures more tooth surface is cleaned with each chew.

Are beef flatties suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs?
Yes! Beef esophagus is naturally easy to digest and gentle on sensitive stomachs. The low-fat content (10.9%) makes these ideal for dogs with digestive sensitivities or those prone to upset stomachs. Many dogs with digestive issues tolerate beef esophagus better than other proteins. The simple, single-ingredient formula reduces the risk of reactions.

How many beef flatties can I give my dog?
The 100g pack provides approximately 8-12 flatties depending on size. Feed 1-2 flatties per week as part of a varied treat rotation. Small dogs (under 10kg): 1 flattie weekly. Medium to large dogs (over 10kg): 2 flatties weekly. Always supervise and ensure fresh water is available.

What is beef esophagus?
Beef esophagus is the muscular tube from cattle that connects the throat to the stomach. When air-dried and flattened, it creates a unique dental chew with excellent texture for cleaning teeth. It is naturally low in fat, high in protein, and easily digestible, making it perfect for sensitive dogs.

Can puppies have beef flatties?
Yes! Beef flatties are suitable for puppies over 12 weeks old. The gentle, easily digestible nature makes them perfect for developing digestive systems. The dental benefits support healthy teeth development. Start with supervised sessions and consider breaking into smaller pieces for young puppies.
